MCARS is an assessment tool created to support educators and schools. It is provided free of charge as an aid for decision-making.

Your responsibility

Educators and schools are responsible for how they use MCARS results. The tool is intended to provide guidance, but final decisions about student support remain with the school or district.

Use of Data

Personally identifiable information is not required to complete the MCARS. Only general demographic information is entered. MCARS protects student information and does not share data with third parties. However, deidentified data is used to improve and update the norms of the MCARS.

No Guarantees

While MCARS is based on research and designed for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that results will address every situation. The information provided should not replace professional judgment.

Liability

MCARS and its creators are not liable for any decisions, actions, or outcomes based on the use of the tool.
